Join us on July 15 at 6:30 as the naturalists from Pfeiffer Nature Center present "Dig into Dirt". Then on each subsequent Monday evening we will continue to have a special program that will involve some type of digging or dirt. One week we will be pirates, another paleontologists, and even another we will have a worm race! Our goal is to have fun for the whole family.
On Friday mornings, beginning July 19 at 9:30, we will be having Story Hour, which will also feature our digging theme. Children will listen to stories and make crafts about gardening, pirates, and so much more. The time is geared toward younger children but all are welcome.
Our closing program will be the Omnipresent Puppet Theater on August 16 at 10:00. They will present the show "Gumshoe McMonocle and the Strange Case of Rumplesomething". It will be a chance for you to dig through the clues and solve the mystery.
When a child signs up for our program they will receive a reading log. Every time they complete 15 minutes of reading (either by themselves or by someone reading to them), they will place a sticker on their sheet. They may then turn in their log to receive various prizes.
Signing up for the reading program is a very easy process. Students may stop by the library beginning July 1, during regular library hours, to sign up and receive their reading logs and sticker sheets.

We would love to have you join us at the Portville Free Library this summer!
